FCP’S ALECIA HILL TO ADDRESS HOUSING AFFORDABILITY, COMMUNITY BUILDING, AND RESILIENCE AT WORLD URBAN FORUM 13 IN BAKU, AZERBAIIJAN


FCP® Vice President and Assistant Portfolio Manager, Alecia Hill, will contribute to the conversation on the global housing crisis at the World Urban Forum 13 on May 17-22 in Baku, Azerbaijan. Established by the United Nations in 2001, the World Urban Forum is the premier global conference on sustainable urbanization, designed to examine the impacts of rapid urbanization on cities, communities, economies, climate change and policies. Held every two years, the forum brings together global leaders across sectors focused on advancing impact, knowledge sharing, and thought leadership around the UN’s sustainable development goals (SDGs), specifically as it relates to urbanization. This year’s World Urban Forum is dedicated to the topic of “Housing the World: Safe and Resilient Cities and Communities” and will shine a global spotlight on the urgent need to address the global housing crisis, aiming to advance discussions on adequate housing access and affordability, inclusive community development, and resilience worldwide.

Hill will participate in the Business Roundtable. This session will work to identify capitalization gaps, explore the investment attractiveness of resilient assets, and highlight practical pathways, scaling financing models, and strengthening innovative partnerships to mobilize private capital, among other topics.

Alecia Hill is a Vice President and Assistant Portfolio Manager at FCP. With experience in workforce and affordable housing, Alecia is responsible for overseeing all aspects of portfolio construction and investment management for FCP’s Housing Preservation strategy, as well as the expansion of broader firmwide multifamily impact investing initiatives. Prior to joining FCP, Alecia was a member of the Impact Investing team at Enterprise Community Partners, where she focused on Opportunity Zone Fund development, transaction underwriting, and new product development within affordable and workforce housing.

Alecia has been a featured facilitator on community development finance structuring and housing policy with HUD and the EPA. Alecia is Chair of Smart Growth America’s LOCUS Coalition for inclusive, transit-oriented development, Chair of the National Multifamily Housing Council’s (NMHC) Workforce Housing Committee, a member of the National Housing Crisis Task Force, and  Young Leaders Fellow with Columbia University’s Sustainable Investing Research Initiative (SIRI). a She has been a guest lecturer on private markets, affordable housing, and sustainable investing at Southern Methodist University, Columbia University, New York University. Alecia holds an MPA in Management and Finance from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a BA from Columbia University.
